Food Access Project
Structured community food distributions and family wellness connections for Baltimore-area households facing food insecurity.
The Baltimore Neighborhood Food Access & Family Wellness initiative is a House of Manna project designed to improve access to nutritious food and essential resources for Baltimore-area individuals and families experiencing food insecurity and economic hardship. The project supports structured community food distributions that prioritize fresh produce, proteins, healthy pantry staples, and essential household items while also connecting participating households with additional community resources when needs extend beyond food assistance.
House of Manna will use resident outreach, volunteer engagement, community partnerships, distribution tracking, and participant feedback to develop a sustainable neighborhood-based food access model. As the program grows, House of Manna also plans periodic community meal events that bring families together around prepared food, resource connections, and community engagement.
